Minimalist accessories are the absolute core of any wardrobe. Don’t get me wrong: I literally eat and breathe prints like oxygen, but minimalist accessories have one thing that an abundance of prints and patterns do: versatility.
Today, I show you a more minimalist side of me and show you two must have minimalist accessories from Dezzal* and hit the harbour thinking “Oh my gosh: am I going minimalist and loving it?”
I’ve always had a thing for Chloe bags, and by ‘thing’ I mean, I’ve always been too much of a pauper to actually own one, but it would certainly be my bag of choice if ever won the lottery. I was originally lusting after the classic Drew bag, but since seeing the Faye bag on absolute repeat, I was hooked.
This stunning Dezzal Loop Flap Crossbody Bag* is my own personal ‘Drew’. Much like the designer original, this bag features the iconic metal circle and chain and I am loving it as much as I love cookies and cream icecream (Yep: that much). Best of all, this beauty is a mere $77.99, so you can get your iconic handbag fix for under $100. **Insert round of applause here**
The bag is by designer ‘Stanyuhua’ and is 100% real leather. I have to say that the quality gets a big fat tick in my book. As soon as this baby arrived, the smell of real leather had me on a luxury high. (Vegetarian readers, please don’t hate me). The bag rocks a bit of a two tone effect, with the upper half of the flap consisting of a more suede-like leather, and the rest of the bag a soft, matte leather.
The soft grey shade makes it the absolute queen of all minimalist accessories. I could imagine it looking just as awesome with a printed dress as today’s minimalist denim and wrap top look. Plus: that gold hardware is absolutely gorgeous! I was impressed to see that all of the hardware was wrapped in protective packaging once I opened the box. It was all shine and I wouldn’t have seen a scratch if I viewed it through the hubble telescope.
When it comes to minimalist accessories, it pays to be functional as well as fashionable. This is why I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this silver feather brooch*. Brooches have been around forever and I know that my own Nan rocked her collection of brooches in her 88 years of life. Unfortunately, they can be as hard to find as the Seven Horcruxes, and if you do manage to get your mits on one, it seldom screams fashion.
Dezzal’s brooch is exactly what I’ve been looking for! As an avid scarf lover, I can secure my scarves together with this baby, to stop keep them looking sleek. Best of all, you’re not gonna see me running down the street like a total crazy lady after a scarf that’s got caught in a nasty gust!
This brooch is super sturdy. I’ve found in the past that brooches have a tendency to bend, but the pin on this one is really thick and rigid. The cute leaf design is just minimalist enough to rock with any scarf, whilst adding a little bit of extra cuteness, all for $21.99.
I am super impressed with both of these minimalist accessories from Dezzal. I am sometimes sceptical about the quality from overseas stores, but both of these pieces get an A for quality. The pieces look like they cost waaaay more than their retail price, which is always a major bonus.
Whether you want to indulge in your own minimalist accessories or grab a new outfit, Dezzal is really worth checking out. Check out their Instagram and Facebook for more fashion inspirations.
Isn't this bag the perfect Chloe Faye lookalike?
