My Boho Beach Style ft. Boohoo

Although I live two streets away from the beach (permission to virtually slap me granted), Jake and I often enjoy spending our weekends road tripping in search of that perfect spot of sand, hidden bay, or palm-fringed shore. 

For this shoot, we took one of our short and fave mini road trips up to the tropical haven of Port Douglas. The hour stretch of road between Cairns and Port Douglas, called The Captain Cook Highway, is absolutely laden with serene, sandy beaches. Best of all, these beaches are almost always empty.

You're probably thinking, 'who in their right sweaty mind wears a choker and belt to the beach?' But before you brand me nuttier than that little squirrel off Ice Age, hear me out.

Tropical beach hopping calls for an outfit that is more than just a bikini. Often, Jake and I will drop by to a cafe to enjoy a nice lunch, or explore rain forest tracks. Would you want to stare at some chick in a bikini whilst tucking into your avo toast? Nope, didn't think so!

My boho beach style is all about versatility. This quirky, scallop edge bikini is made for my pear shape figure when I dare to bare all. The layered, scalloped top is like some kind of magical, instant boob job. 

What is most versatile of all, is this rose print maxi kimono. It can be worn open as a cheeky beach coverup, or the ties can be wrapped round and worn at the back to create an on-trend, slit maxi dress. Add a lace up choker and Western buckle belt, and it becomes an outfit worthy of a seat in some beach-side Hipster cafe.
