Although my wardrobe will never resemble the Kardashian Clan's, my love for body-con is growing and this burgundy, knit dress makes me feel super confident. Having once sworn to never wear anything tight, this confidence still feels a bit odd.
I think it's important to invest in pieces that make us feel confident; after all: life is too short to feel rubbish about ourselves. I, however, need to practice what I preach.
As a matter of fact, whilst shooting these photographs, a group of girls my age walked past, sneering and laughing. It hurt.
Trying to hold back all the negative 'oh my gosh.. do I look fat/ugly/stupid' thoughts', I stopped myself and thought; 'what would you say to someone else who had these thoughts?' Seriously, why should we let the silly opinions of complete strangers bother us so much? It really disappointing me how women see the need to tear each other apart. Anyway: Rant over!
Let's all compliment someone today and help them grow their confidence.
