As most of my readers are throwing on that extra fluffy jumper and cosy-ing up by the fire, I'm struggling not to sweat my makeup off in a bumbling heap. You will probably laugh at me because I literally live in paradise and yes; I LOVE IT, but sometimes, I think that my English blood can't handle 36 degree heat and 90% humidity. I'd like to see Queen Lizzie try... **Phillip: Get me in the air-con!**

With feeds upon feeds of lush Autumnal hues growing into a rather large mound on my Pinterest board, I thought I'd have a go at making the on-trend berry tone seasonal appropriate for the hot Aussie weather.

As soon as I saw this She In* shirt dress, I had to have it! Alongside being one of this seasons most coveted colours, I find the wrap shape incredibly flattering. Pear tones, take note: if you wanna add a bit of volume to your, erm..ladies, this one's for you!

As the dress is quite sheer, I layered it over my white, mesh midi skirt for a bit of a texture clash. The peek-a-boo effect of the white, sporty fabric truly takes the berry-hued dress into Summer territory.

And it can't be truly my style unless there's a little touch of seventies boho thrown in. Cue this lush silk print scarf from Banarsi Designs. I worn tied minimally around the neck and cascading down the back for that extra flow-y effect.

I added my good old Tory's and my fave black clutch and heel combo. They are my fail-safe, go-to trio; the Ron, Harry and Hermione of my wardrobe.

On another note, I sincerely apologize for my lack of tan in these photos; I honestly look like Edward Cullen's long lost sis. Just more evidence that I've truly transitioned from a tan-o-holic backpacker to a true local. That hole in the O-Zone layer in darn scary: Pass me the St Tropez, pronto!

Are you loving burgundy?

Rachel
xoxo
