**Insert a flurry of banjos for this entire post**

If you thought bloggers only went to sexy street-scapes and balmy beaches, I'll stop you in your tracks right there! Today I head to the good ol' Aussie bush and bring you a more chic take on classic country dressing.

Please note: This post contains no hootenannys, tractors, sweaty singlets or missing teeth.

When you think 'country', what comes to mind? In the world of fashion, country is inevitably associated with plaid shirts, denim overalls, huge hats and questionably stained shoes. Although your local bogan isn't exactly the next it-girl trend setter, fashion constantly takes inspiration from the very country traditions that we are all to fast to take the piss out of. (Myself included)

The denim overall is a perfect example of this. Although I love dungarees as much as the next blogger, stumpy-legged me looks about as good in them as toothless Brandine in her dollar shop get-up. This Honey & Beau* playsuit is like the denim dungarees more flattering, chic sister. Dotted with oh-so-Summery tropical flowers, the high neck and cinched in waistline make it perfect for casual, sunshine-drenched days.

To add to the country feel, I paired it with this hat that you've seen a million times (exhibit A, exhibit B, exhibit C) on The Daily Luxe before. These Brogue's may as well be from the dinosaur age, as I honestly can't remember when I picked them up from Primark. Hint: I've not lived in the UK for over 4 years and Australia doesn't have Primark. **Weeps**

Donned in suitably chic, country clothing, I then made some furry friends. These cuties are a colony of wild rock wallabies. Lovely locals to Granite Gorge Nature Reserve, you can actually feed them from your hand!

Apologies for my slowness on social media, my parents are here from the UK and I am determined to spend as much time with them as possible! Follow me on Instagram for my latest outfits and adventures.
