We travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us.

Nandroya Falls is the perfect postcard picture of paradise. The sheer size of this single drop cascade is majestic enough to take your breath away.

Today, I throw on my lace playsuit* and Triangl bikini* and take you on a wanderlust filled adventure to Nandroya Falls.

Cairns is like a never-ending treasure trove of rainforest waterfalls and hidden beaches. Although I've lived here for almost four years, I will be a permanent tourist!

Despite Jake living in Cairns his whole life, he didn't find himself being a tourist in his own town until he met me. I guess that's the magic of being with a foreigner! I think that no matter how long I live in Australia, I will always have some sort of invisible glowing arrow that screams tourist! As well as being the owner of the weirdest accent you can possibly imagine, Jake and I constantly explore places that only backpackers seem to adventure to!

Nandroya Falls is located off the Palmerston Highway in the Atherton Tablelands. Despite the walking track being described as 'moderate', I would consider it quite easy. The falls themselves can be reached by a 3.5km walk through the stunning tropical North Queensland rainforest.

Although I thought this waterfall was quite unknown, quite a few people popped by for a swim when I was swimming. This was pretty embarrassing as I was doing my whole blogger thing and flouncing around in this lace playsuit like some crazy that might as well have the phrase moron branded onto her forehead.

I paired my lace playsuit with this geometric, print C/meo Collective print scarf. I think that a silk scarf is a great way to add a fair dollop of class to a short or low-cut playsuit. I'm not going to lie: I did not endure the sweaty trek in this delicate, lacy piece. However, I did do the trek in this Triangl bikini layered under a crochet halter. You know me: I keep it real with you guys.

Although the water was about equivalent to a Scottish loch in the dead of Winter, it was worth it to embrace this stunning falls in all its glory. If that wasn't enough, Nandroya Falls also has a second tier a few metres down, which although smaller in size, is certainly picturesque.

Ciao bellas! Today I am showing you how I got this cheeky Dolce & Gabbana inspired look for less.

For season after season, black, feminine dresses with red roses have become the epitome of the D & G look. My dress? Well its a mere $80 from VIP Me*.

So let's pretend we're in Italy and I'm some sort of timeless, Sicilian bella, as I show you how to get the luxe for less...

It's always wonderful when fashion speaks the language of it's heritage and it couldn't be more true for Dolce & Gabbana. The duo constantly seek inspiration from every aspect of Italian culture. Over the past few seasons, the red floral printed black dress has become an iconic part of D & G's makeup and has been reincarnated constantly over the past few years.

Black and red florals are to D & G, what tweed is to Chanel.

Unfortunately for me, my house repayments have left my wallet looking emptier than a whale's blow hole. Trans: D & G is waaay out of my league.

When VIPMe sent me this stunning floral embroidered midi dress*, I jumped for joy, as I could finally embrace those classic D & G florals. The quality of the dress itself is incredibly high; the embroidery is very detailed and is sewn onto a delicate, translucent mesh overlay. Although the dress does look a little longer on me than it does on the model on the site (seriously, is that chick like 7ft?), I actually really like the ankle-skimming length. Alongside this, it fits like a dream!

Best of all, you can get your own Dolce & Gabbana look-a-like dress for less, as VIPMe are offering my readers $5 off orders above $50 when they use the code Rachel348. One things for sure: this dress is way cheaper than the real D & G kaboodle, which would set you back about 1-8 thousand dollars. **Cue expensive sirens**

I teamed it with these gorgeous silver, reflective sunnies from TIJN Eyewear*, which, funnily enough are called 'Olaf'. I can 100% promise you ,well no I can't, that I did not just choose this model because they have the same name as the cute snowman from 'Frozen'.

I am a sucker for reflective sunglasses because they are sure to hide my darker-than-dark circles, whilst adding a cute quirky flair to any look! I really like the round shape of these, although my other half did roll his eyes a little at yet another pair of 'Paul McCartney' glasses. Jokes aside, these babies will stay firmly plastered to my face for the rest of the Aussie Summer.

Finally, I finished off my Dolce & Gabbana Inspired Look with a swish of red lippy and these tassel earrings. The only thing I'm missing is an Italian style gelato, so I think I need to go and indulge in one pronto!

Jewel Tones

http://www.averyverse.com/shop/item/ballad

As the festive season approaches, opt for a stunning jewel toned bag to really get in the party spirit. A pop of red would be an elegant touch to an LBD, and would really add a bright spark to any of your daytime looks. Pair this baby with a striped dress for a cute, daytime nautical look, or team with red lips for sultry, after-dark style.

Dark jewel green is a colour that is often overlooked in the handbag world, but don’t be fooled: this shade is a lot more versatile than it first appears. Treat it as you would navy; clash it to perfection, wear with prints and don’t be afraid to stand out.

How To Style Orange: My Top Tangeriney Tips

orange dress outfit idea summer australia

How to style orange is a tricky one. Do it right and you'll look like a sizzling babe, do it wrong and you'll look like Snooki's upper arm.

A few years ago, I was totally convinced that orange would never suit me. As a matter of fact, I would have rather worn a bin liner than donned this tangerine hue. But, lo and behold: I simply hadn't found the right orange for me!

Today I share with you my tips on how to style orange and show you this tangerine dream dress from Honey and Beau*

how to style orange orange dress outfit idea

Find The Right Orange Tone For Your Skin Tone

This heading probably looks like I'm screaming at you through some sort of monstrous megaphone, but I seriously need to put across this point! When you style orange, you need to find that luscious shade that was practically invented to be draped across your skin. Each skin tone, hair colour and eye colour has an orange shade that will look totally babin' on them.

summer outfit orange midi dress with hanky hem

photoshoot in trinity beach cairns girl in orange dress next to lake

I recommend you try before you buy, but the following list will help you find the right orange for your skin tone.

  • Very fair skin: Opt for Autumnal oranges such as burnt orange, rust and oranges that are more towards burgundy.
  • Slightly tanned skin: Orangey red or tangelo is made for your skin tone! Coral is wonderful for you too.
  • Olive skin: Keep it on the pink or red side of the orange spectrum, more brown shades can wash you out.
  •  Dark skin: You lovely ladies can rock any orange in all its vibrancy!

As you can see, my dress is more on the fire-y side of things! Gotta love tangelo (yep: I totally learnt that word today!)

Use Dark, Contrasting Accessories

fold over oversized dark navy clutch eveningwear

orange midi dress outfit idea summer street style

Colour contrasting is always a win, in my books. But as orange is such a vivid colour, styling it with something on the exact opposite of the spectrum (bright blue) may look as brash as the cast of Jordie Shore.

Instead, style orange with dark navy accessories, they will tone the bright tones, whilst adding a more sophisticated contrast.

Match With An Orange Lipstick

orange dress with matching orange lipstick

A strong orange lip has been on my radar for seasons, but there is something super appealing when you style orange clothes with a lipstick in a similar shade. Whether you opt for a cute coral or a tasty tangerine, an orange lip is always a win-win!

Tone Down With Nudes

how to style orange dress street style outfit idea
honey and beau orange midi dress and mon purse oversized leather clutch

When it comes to shoes, choose a neutral pair! Orange hues are made to be the centre of attention and attempting to attract attention to your shoes and other accessories may look a little bit too over the top.

Opt For Minimal

how to style orange for your skin tone

Let's be honest: my outfit today is enough to make proper minimalists cover their eyes and scream. Nonetheless, when you style orange, a less is more approach is vital! Keep jewellery clean, neutral and minimal.

Lady in Lace: Festive Party Outfits ft.Valleygirl

lace festive party outfits

It's time for some festive party outfits!

I don't mean to scare you into starting your Christmas shopping, but it's only five and a half weeks until Santa Claus officially ahem 'comes to town'. You know what that means? One month until we get to pop open the champagne and embrace the takeover of the silly season parties!**Lets off metaphorical party poppers**

It's time to get your festive party outfits sorted and today I've teamed up with Valleygirl to bring you two lace festive party outfits that are perfect for all of your upcoming Christmas parties and New Years Celebrations!

Party Outfit One: Nudes & Pleats

 Lace bodysuit: Valleygirl*
Skirt: Bardot (Similar)
Bag: Miss Selfridge
Bracelet: The Peach Box*
Necklace: Lovisa
Heels: ASOS

If you thought that festive party outfits meant looking like a ho ho ho, I'll stop you right there! Knee-length skirts are appropriate for work Christmas parties and this pleated number is a breath of fashionable air into a feminine classic.

If you're a bit shy of going for huge, theatrical pleats, micropleats are a great way to ease yourself into the trend. Plus: the teeny side slits in this number keep it more 'Santa baby' and less 'Mrs Claus.'

Festive party outfits are all about balancing your shapes to keep it looking classy and, as this skirt is quite loose, I opted for a super fitted lace bodysuit. Plunging necklines are literally made for lariat necklaces, so I new I had to add this dainty gold chain as soon as this bodysuit arrived on my doorstep!

Light blush and black is a timeless combination, so little crazy colourful old me actually kept it simple this time and opted for a completely blush and black festive party look. But if you thought I'd gone all out minimal, you just have to look at this crazy, Princess-y bag.

My favorite thing about this lace party look is that the pieces can easily be re-styled and worn again in a more casual way. How cute will this skirt look with a statement tee tucked into it?

Party Outfit Two: Lace Co-ords

Lace co-ords: Valleygirl*

Heels: Target
Bracelet: Swarovski
Earrings: Lovisa

I remember a time when the phrase co-ord was literally enough to make me sing 'I'm every woman' in a fleeting pop of excitement. Then I sort of got over co-ords. That is, until now!

Festive party outfits can all look too same-y and there's nothing worse than rocking up at the annual work bash to find that Jen from accounting is wearing the exact same dress. These quirky co-ords will seldom appear in people's party wardrobes, making you that cool, quirky fashionista dancing away to the Cha Cha Slide (we can only hope!)

The lace on these co-ords may as well be mistletoe it's so darn festive! An array of glistening gold on-top of classic black makes it the perfect choice for Christmas and New Year celebrations alike.

As this playsuit is far more leggy than cellulite Sally I would normally opt for, I teamed it with the highest black heels I have in my wardrobe. I continued the 'lengthening' optical illusion with long statement earrings and a high bun. Finally, I added some festive sparkle with my Swarovski stardust bracelet, as festive party outfits are all about that sparkle!

Have you planned your festive party outfits?
Don't worry, I haven't even started Christmas shopping yet!

Must Have Minimalist Accessories ft. Dezzal

minimalist accessories summer look with Chloe Faye dupe and button up denim skirt

Minimalist accessories are the absolute core of any wardrobe. Don’t get me wrong: I literally eat and breathe prints like oxygen, but minimalist accessories have one thing that an abundance of prints and patterns do: versatility.

Today, I show you a more minimalist side of me and show you two must have minimalist accessories from Dezzal* and hit the harbour thinking “Oh my gosh: am I going minimalist and loving it?”

I’ve always had a thing for Chloe bags, and by ‘thing’ I mean, I’ve always been too much of a pauper to actually own one, but it would certainly be my bag of choice if ever won the lottery. I was originally lusting after the classic Drew bag, but since seeing the Faye bag on absolute repeat, I was hooked.

This stunning Dezzal Loop Flap Crossbody Bag* is my own personal ‘Drew’. Much like the designer original, this bag features the iconic metal circle and chain and I am loving it as much as I love cookies and cream icecream (Yep: that much).  Best of all, this beauty is a mere $77.99, so you can get your iconic handbag fix for under $100. **Insert round of applause here**

The bag is by designer ‘Stanyuhua’ and is 100% real leather. I have to say that the quality gets a big fat tick in my book. As soon as this baby arrived, the smell of real leather had me on a luxury high. (Vegetarian readers, please don’t hate me). The bag rocks a bit of a two tone effect, with the upper half of the flap consisting of a more suede-like leather, and the rest of the bag a soft, matte leather.

The soft grey shade makes it the absolute queen of all minimalist accessories. I could imagine it looking just as awesome with a printed dress as today’s minimalist denim and wrap top look. Plus: that gold hardware is absolutely gorgeous! I was impressed to see that all of the hardware was wrapped in protective packaging once I opened the box. It was all shine and I wouldn’t have seen a scratch if I viewed it through the hubble telescope.

When it comes to minimalist accessories, it pays to be functional as well as fashionable. This is why I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this silver feather brooch*. Brooches have been around forever and I know that my own Nan rocked her collection of brooches in her 88 years of life. Unfortunately, they can be as hard to find as the Seven Horcruxes, and if you do manage to get your mits on one, it seldom screams fashion.

Dezzal’s brooch is exactly what I’ve been looking for! As an avid scarf lover, I can secure my scarves together with this baby, to stop keep them looking sleek. Best of all, you’re not gonna see me running down the street like a total crazy lady after a scarf that’s got caught in a nasty gust!

This brooch is super sturdy. I’ve found in the past that brooches have a tendency to bend, but the pin on this one is really thick and rigid. The cute leaf design is just minimalist enough to rock with any scarf, whilst adding a little bit of extra cuteness, all for $21.99.

I am super impressed with both of these minimalist accessories from Dezzal. I am sometimes sceptical about the quality from overseas stores, but both of these pieces get an A for quality. The pieces look like they cost waaaay more than their retail price, which is always a major bonus.

Whether you want to indulge in your own minimalist accessories or grab a new outfit, Dezzal is really worth checking out. Check out their Instagram and Facebook for more fashion inspirations.

Isn't this bag the perfect Chloe Faye lookalike?

10 Red Dresses That Aren't Just For Christmas

10 red dresses that are not just for christmas

Red dresses are undeniably perfect for Christmas. But we've all had those sequin red dresses and walking-Christmas-tree get-ups that are so Christmassy, they are honestly as disposable as a snowflake-embellished paper plate.

The result? You wear them once, then they sit in your wardrobe collecting dust or become pals with someones old bra in the charity shop bargain bin.

Today, I show you ten red dresses that will see you through the festive period and beyond. After all, there's no point buying something that can only be worn once a year!

1. The Off- Shoulder Party Dress

red off shoulder dress christmas outfit idea

Firstly, apologies for how much of an absolute b--ch I look in these photos, I promise that I am actually not Cruella Deville's second cousin. It was sunny and I was trying to do that 'fierce' thing that I've seen far too many times on Top Model. #MassiveNerdAlert

Now that I've apologized for my moody-ass face, onto the outfit! This stunning watermelon hued dress is the perfect option for Christmas parties, but it's unique shade ensures that is far more versatile than just being a one-night, tinsel-filled fling.

When shopping for red dresses that will see you through Christmas and beyond, it's safe to opt for fabrics that are more on the plainer side of things. This thick, matte fabric doesn't particularly scream Christmas, but when dressed up with a whole lot of bling, it is perfect for the silly season.

As a matter of fact, this red dress will be making a regular appearance in my Summer wardrobe; there is something about this particular shade of red that makes me crave pina coladas and dances next to the beach. I'm heading down to Hamilton Island in a few weeks and this baby already has a prime spot reserved in my suitcase for island cocktails.

This red dress also combines two of my favourite things: off-shoulder and asymmetry. Not only does this ensure that I will be feeling a bit sexy this holiday period, it also ensures it will see me right through the Australian Summer. Wham! Bang! Thank you ma'am!

2. The Red Maxi Slip Dress

Miss Deville (see section 1) returns again and this time she's donning this season's creme-de-la-creme of all red dresses: the slip dress.

This outfit may as well have 'so here it is, Merry Christmas' plastered across the back! The silky texture, the low back, the slit; hello Santa baby! I went a bit Courtney Love with a wide-set choker and tassel earrings. If you're a 90s kid, you may as well act like one.

Although this red slip dress may seem festive, whack it on over a white tee and boom: an on-trend look that isn't the sartorial equivalent of egg nogg. I've also seen many ladies layering their slip dresses over shirts and turtle neck sweaters, which is a fantastic option for keeping a red slip dress on rotation all Winter.

As it's Summer here in Australia, I'll be layering this red dress over white tees, short sleeved denim shirts and floral tops. Then I'll add some Adidas Superstars and pretend that I'm an off-duty Gigi Hadid.

See red dresses #3-10 below! Sorry, I did sort of cheat... but a girl can seriously not actually own that many red dresses! **Hides face**

3. ASOS Choker Kimono Dress

This choker kimono dress is that stunning wine hue that is perfect for year-round wear. The oversized kimono sleeves and choker neck make it so on-trend that you wouldn't dare to have it in the back of your wardrobe collecting dust.

4. ASOS Lace Smock Dress

This lacey wonder seriously floats my boho boat (get in ma 'drobe!!!). Aussie ladies can take this beauty from the beach to bar with ease. It's also made to be layered over knitted jumpers and teamed with biker boots. #JustSaying

5. Bardot Lace Dress

I feel like I should just place a million heart emojis here, but that would be about as boring as the back of Louis Walsh's head. This bardot lace dress is your night-out BFF for all year round!

6. Princess Polly Playsuit

Erm.. isn't this a post about red dresses? Yes, but I couldn't leave this red playsuit out, it's super cute and it is perfect for Christmas, New Year and just life in general. **Insert Homer Simpson drool**

7. Revolve Lace Dress

The relaxed off-shoulder fit of this lace-dress makes it really versatile. It's a piece that will be really fun to dress up and down.

8. The Fifth Label Midi Dress

This print is like some kind of stunning optical illusion. Look at it one way and it's so festively Nordic, then look at it another and it says folky Summer festival.

9. Boohoo Cold Shoulder Dress

10. Lavish Alice Bandeau Dress

When looking for red dresses that will see you beyond Christmas, opt for orange toned reds. This Lavish Alice dress is perfect for partying the Summer away.

Like many women, I react to a new hand bag like a small child would to the newest toy. But the Oliver Bilou bag takes this to a whole new level! Every time I open this quilted bad boy, I am greeted by an uplifting quote that gives me a kick up the backside and helps me remember just how awesome I am.

From a young age, we are given this idea of magic that is about as much in our reach as Pluto (which will always be a planet to me- sob sob!) But magic is something that, oh god cringe, comes from the inside! It's that sparkle in your eyes when your giggling with your best mate, or that sheer determination that got you that dream job. It may even be that outfit that makes you look and feel like Gigi Hadid and Jessica Alba had some sort of perfect super baby and that baby is you!

Get ready to embrace your magic and check out my tips to help you style that magic outfit...

How To Find Your Sartorial Magic

1. Invest In Luxury Accessories

Before you scream at your poor wallets empty state, let me tell you that luxury doesn't necessary have to mean a Gucci Dionysus! The Oliver Bilou Mia bag is made from high quality vegan leather, meaning that it keeps its shape and stays in brand new condition for season after season! The rose gold hardware and on-trend tassel add a further element of luxury. The fact that this bag is under $100 means that luxury is more obtainable than you think.

2. Go Out Of Your Comfort Zone

Never ever ever did I imagine I would ever wear something so plunging! Not one to normally get the girls on show, I fell in love with this embellished playsuit and just decided to go for it. Going out of your comfort zone often pays off, and I've never been so happy to have small boobs: it really works in this outfit.

3.  Add Something That Always Makes You Feel Confidence

For me, sunglasses are instant confidence! Some ladies find confidence in high heels, some in statement earrings. Find an accessory that makes you feel HOT and rock it!

 4. Smile!

Audrey Hepburn once said that happiest girls are the prettiest, and I think we can all firmly raise our hands in agreement! Remember the last time you saw a really beautiful girl that looked like a total b---? Point made.

Stay magic ladies!

P.S. Oliver Bilou are spoiling my gorgeous readers by offering them 10% any bags! Simply add the code thedailyluxe and enjoy your bargain!

Dear readers, I apologise but I am currently off on an East Coast adventure, leave a message after the beep. Like some weird sort of time traveller, I am writing to you from the past, for you to read in the future, as I’m exploring hidden beaches/off on a scenic flight/ getting lost in nature.

That’s enough of the freaking blog time travelling freakiness of the internet, let’s get on to the post! I have to confess that this post was a complete accident. My parents are currently visiting from England and we took a trip to Palm Cove. Me, being the annoying Instagram ho I am, forced an outfit shoot into the post, and, voila: the formal black skirt look (which was going to be todays only look) was born! However, the 35 degree heat made me pack these cute nautical shorts into my bag and when I changed, I was absolutely loving this look that was never meant to ever appear on The Daily Luxe.

After I’d forced the poor Instagram Husband boyfriend to take more shots, I was amazed at just how different the vibe of this look was from simply swapping out one skirt. What was once an office-bar outfit mish-mashed with some Adidas Superstars, had now become a nautical Summer look that is perfect for endless hours of beach frolicking and Summer fun.

When changing up a look, choose the piece that is the most formal or most casual and swap them for their absolute opposite. As well as creating a really effortless juxtaposition, this will completely change the air and vibe of the look. Who knows, that band tee may look just as fantastic with a pleated metallic skirt as it does with your denim shorts? And that blazer will give that boho maxi a whole new vibe!

Anyhow, I’m off to pack for my road trip! I will be heading down the East Coast of Australia to Magnetic Island and The Whitsundays with Jake and my parents. Get ready for an absolute Instagram spam from paradise. And, of course, a travel post coming very soon.

5 Reasons Why Christmas In Australia Will Always Be Odd

christmas baubles on palm tree beach

As the rest of the world settle down in front of a roaring fire and attempt to defrost their fingers with hot chocolate, I am hibernating in air con considering how ironic those icicle fairy lights & snow man decorations are. I mean, I can't even keep the ice cubes in my Coke Zero frozen!

Ok, Australian readers: you can stop laughing at me now! Having grown up in the coldest, greyest corner of England, the concept of a 'hot Christmas' is always something that will baffle me.

Although I may have lived down under for four years, here's five reasons why Christmas in Australia is something that I will never get used to....

1. The Weather

Australian Christmas on beach

Oh look at me being as British as Queen Lizzie herself and whining on about the weather. By any Western definition of the holiday, Christmas is a Winter-y, icy, snow-y time.

Here down under, its 30 degrees, the sun is blaring and the beach is calling my name. My parents are currently over here for their first Australian Christmas and they are finding the idea of a Summer Christmas ridiculously hard to grasp. And nope, it doesn't get any less confusing on your fourth Christmas here...

Jake and I always bicker about whose 'version' of Christmas is closer to the real deal. He always wins the argument when he says that Jesus was born in a desert. He's got a point...

2. The Irony

Australian Christmas on the beach

Blow up snowmen, snowflake fairy lights, polar bears and penguins are plastered all over the houses, shops and restaurants. **Insert huge question mark here**

Dear Australia, those snowmen would melt, those polar bears would get sunburn and every single snowflake would cease to even form in your oven-like atmosphere.

3. The Gift Problem

Australian Summer Christmas outfit idea boho playsuit

Although the Christmas traditions are pretty much a carbon copy of those in the UK, the Summer issue causes one huge kaboodle: what on earth do you buy for gifts?!

I've obviously spent too much of my life relying on hot chocolate sets, jumpers and socks as my go-to Christmas gifts.

Australian Christmas decorations on beach

4. The Time Difference

rose gold gladiator sandals

Ok, I have to admit that this one will not be as bad this year, as my parents are actually in Australia. However, the fact that we are ten hours ahead of the UK makes for some pretty dodgy and often downright embarrassing family Skype conversations.

Cue me after many glasses of wine at 10 PM calling my poor parents who have just started cooking their Christmas dinner...

5. The Dinner

Christmas tree decorations on palm tree australia

The best thing about being a total pig on Christmas is that the cold weather makes you feel like you are allowed to go on a 'pre-hibernation' rampage.

Here, there is the problem that you will probably be wearing a bikini the next day. Add the fact that hot weather is an appetite repressive and it becomes really freaking weird.

Merry Christmas!

Despite my oh-so-British rant, Christmas in Australia will always be wonderful in its own way. After all, there are those beach BBQ's, boxing-day swim sessions and the fact that you can still wear Summer clothes!

Have a wonderful Christmas wherever in the world you may be! Thank you so much for your support throughout the year. May all your wishes come true for the new year, wishing you love and happiness always,

There's something about Hamilton Island that is so magically detached from the stress and craziness of everyday life. Mad traffic jams and horns are replaced with giggles from golf buggies and angry locals are switched with friendly smiles. Although this island is only 32KM off Queensland's Airlie Beach, it is obvious that you have entered island time as soon as you set foot on the yacht-fringed harbor.

With my parents visiting from the UK, I had to take them to my personal version of paradise. And if you are an Aussie resident or considering a trip Down Under, I seriously suggest that you pay this stunning utopia a visit.

When you do visit (which you will ;) here is what you have to do in Hamilton Island:

Sunset Cocktails At One Tree Hill

Holidays are made for cocktails and at Hamilton Island, they come with a free sunset. We loved spending our nights at One Tree Hill, Hamilton Island's highest points. With endless views of the Whitsunday Islands, it's the perfect place to enjoy a cocktail from the nearby bar.

Explore Coral Cove

The main beach Catseye Beach, is the perfect place for watersports and snorkeling, but the quiet serenity of Coral Cove is the ultimate find!

Although you will have to endure a sweaty 40 minute walk, the prize at the end is well, priceless! Although Hamilton Island has a number of walking tracks, this is the one to do!

Whitehaven Beach

You probably recognise the dreamy, swirls of beach in the photos above. Whitehaven Beach is often voted the most beautiful beach in the world.

This was my third time visiting Whitehaven and I was like 'honey, I'm home!'. Just a short cruise from Hamilton Island, this serene white beach stretches for 7KM of heaven before revealing a it's best kept secret: Hill Inlet! The inlet is a dreamy swirl of turquoise and snow-white sand and is officially the most photographed beach in Australia.

Our tour took on us on a short hike up to the Hill Inlet look out, which ensured my parents were able to see that oh-my-gosh-heart-eyes view for themselves!

After indulging the absolute shangri-la of views, we headed down to Betty's Beach to walk on sand as soft as icing sugar.

This time, I needed to up my mermaid game, so I washed my hair with the pristine sand and even brushed my teeth with it! Apparently it's good for them...

Chill In The Resort Pools

Holidays are made for chilling and Catesye Beach is home to three dreamy resort pools that are just waiting for you to chill in! I personally recommend the pina coladas at the swim up bar- they come in a real coconut!

Scenic Flight Over Whitehaven Beach & Heart Reef

For such a travel-lover, you will be surprised to hear that planes are not exactly my favorite things! However, this scenic flight over the Whitsundays was actually indescribable!

On a plane with only six people, we flew directly over The Great Barrier Reef and The Whitsunday Islands. Although I have snorkeled this wonder many times, it is a whole different kind of magic from above. The ultimate highlight has to be passing over the sublime heart reef, which I had wanted to see for forever.

We then got to see the majestic Whitehaven Beach and Hill Inlet from the air. It was indescribable! Funnily enough, it made me crave a mr whippy icecream. I'll always be a fatty at heart!

Here's a little taste of my trip:

Goodbye paradise, I'll be back one day!

If you thought bloggers only went to sexy street-scapes and balmy beaches, I'll stop you in your tracks right there! Today I head to the good ol' Aussie bush and bring you a more chic take on classic country dressing.

Please note: This post contains no hootenannys, tractors, sweaty singlets or missing teeth.

The photos were taken at Granite Gorge Nature Park, Mareeba.

When you think 'country', what comes to mind? In the world of fashion, country is inevitably associated with plaid shirts, denim overalls, huge hats and questionably stained shoes. Although your local bogan isn't exactly the next it-girl trend setter, fashion constantly takes inspiration from the very country traditions that we are all to fast to take the piss out of. (Myself included)

The denim overall is a perfect example of this. Although I love dungarees as much as the next blogger, stumpy-legged me looks about as good in them as toothless Brandine in her dollar shop get-up. This Honey & Beau* playsuit is like the denim dungarees more flattering, chic sister. Dotted with oh-so-Summery tropical flowers, the high neck and cinched in waistline make it perfect for casual, sunshine-drenched days.

To add to the country feel, I paired it with this hat that you've seen a million times (exhibit A, exhibit B, exhibit C) on The Daily Luxe before. These Brogue's may as well be from the dinosaur age, as I honestly can't remember when I picked them up from Primark. Hint: I've not lived in the UK for over 4 years and Australia doesn't have Primark. **Weeps**

Donned in suitably chic, country clothing, I then made some furry friends. These cuties are a colony of wild rock wallabies. Lovely locals to Granite Gorge Nature Reserve, you can actually feed them from your hand!

Apologies for my slowness on social media, my parents are here from the UK and I am determined to spend as much time with them as possible! Follow me on Instagram for my latest outfits and adventures.

I'd like to think that somewhere on an alternative planet, there is a version of me who lives in some sort of fancy mansion, has constantly manicured nails and has a whole room solely to store my Louboutin collection! Pfft!

Like many women in their 20s, I'm struggling to pay off my first mortgage, I've still got student debt and I'd rather save up for travel than a pair of **insert ridiculous amount** shoes.

Gucci loafers have been haunting since they first popped up on my Instagram feed, but the real deal are as much out of my league as a topless Ryan Reynolds. So when I found these lookalike Gucci loafers for only $39 on ASOS, I did a little happy dance.

With a statement, gold, bar detail across the top, these beauties look just as great as the real thing. Plus, if I accidentally scuff them/get dirt on them, I won't go into some sort of Shakespearean meltdown.

5 Other Designer Dupes You Need

Please note: I do not endorse 'fake' designer items in any way, they are cheap, nasty and, worst of all, ILLEGAL! If it has a logo and isn't the real deal, don't do it!

 1. This Lookalike Chloe Faye Bag

You probably recognize this Chloe Faye dupe from my post on must-have minimalist accessories. This $70 bag is still the cherry-on-the-top of many of my casual outfits. I actually couldn't believe how many of you asked me if it was Chloe when I posted a shot on Instagram! That means that it's a great Chloe Faye dupe for sure!

2.  Lookalike Givenchy Fur Slides

Ok, so the thought of wearing a dead animal on my feet makes me feel physically sick. Luckily, the dupes are cruelty free, cute and don't break the bank!

3. The Chanel Boy Bag Dupe

It's the bag that everyone wants, but until we win the lottery, these quilted lookalikes will do!

4. Chloe Drew Bag Dupe

After the amount of compliments I've received about mylookalike Chloe Faye, I think that one of these gorgeous Chloe Drew dupes is on the cards!

 5. Lookalike Valentino Rockstud Shoes

The Valentino Rockstud is everything a girl wants to be: beautiful, but with an edge you wouldn't mess with. The Rockstud have remained popular for the past few seasons and these bargain alternatives will have you walking pretty!

Hopefully these designer dupes have saved you enough money to travel around the world!

I want to be wild, beautiful and free, just like the sea.

Today I bring you an abundance of tropical prints, whimsical shapes and bohemian beach goodness from local Cairns designer Wild Sugar By Sajeela* and I give you my top tips on styling bold, bohemian prints.

Photographed in Kewarra Beach, Far North Queensland

Is it just me, or is there something just so darn special about locally made pieces? They seem to capture the essence of their local environment, as if the scenery and atmosphere were quite literally sewn into their seams.

This couldn't be more true with the pieces from Wild Sugar by Sajeela. Punchy florals and bold prints capture the vibrant colours of the Great Barrier Reef and the tropical rainforest to sheer perfection. Whilst flattering, and often flowy, cuts represent the laid back atmosphere of Cairns and Far North Queensland.

Designed and made by Sajeela right here in Cairns, Wild Sugar is for 'the sophisticated wild child'. Specializing in resort wear, business wear, bohemian and evening dresses, each piece is made with the type of love and detail that you just don't find in chain store pieces.

Cairns ladies can go and browse their gypsy souls away in their boutique at The Pier. The rest of you? I suggest you check out their online store and inject a bit of Far North Queensland into your wardrobe!

Being the huge bohemian geek I am, I couldn't wait to get my hands on these pieces and take them for a cheeky beach adventure. My personal favorite piece is the Spring Dress in North Star, the slight hanky hem line and cinched in waist is made for my pear shaped figure. The Love Child Jumpsuit made me feel like I had time traveled to some sort of Seventies utopia filled with psychedelic flower power and balmy ocean breezes.

If you're looking to style up your own bold, boho printed piece, here are my tips:

How To Style Bold, Boho Prints

1.  Let The Print Do The Talking

That means no huge necklaces, scarves or accessories over the print itself.

2. Colour Compliment

Choose a colour that appears minimally in the print and bring it out in a handbag, shoes or statement earrings.

3. Play On The Gypsy Vibes

Add statement gold or silver jewellery in places it won't cover the print, add metallic tattoos and if you want to do something crazy with your hair, go for it!

Stay wild moonchild!

My Outfits

Ok... so I technically should have posted this ages ago! I visited Magnetic Island just before Hamilton Island back in December whilst my parents were visiting from the UK. But my blogging life went all crazy, collaborations and outfits kept coming, and it just kept being pushed back and back. But that's enough waffling from me...

Magnetic Island is a stunning mountainous island located eight kilometres off the coast of Townsville, North Queensland. Known fondly to locals as 'Maggie', this cute island is the perfect place to unwind, explore and get lost in nature.

What To Do In Magnetic Island

Spot Wild Koalas On The Forts Walkwild koala on magentic island

Magnetic Island is one of the best places in Australia to spot koalas in the wild. This being my third time visiting Magnetic Island, I knew that The Forts walk is the place that you are certain to spot these cute little teddies.

The Forts Walk is around 90 mins long and takes you through a gumtree lined path and up to a historic World War II fort. Along the way, you can gaze out onto serene views of secluded beaches and miles of bush-filled wilderness.

Koalas are literally the laziest critters ever and don't tend to move much, which can make them hard to spot. Nonetheless, we actually managed to spot ten of these cuties!

Beach Hopping

fashion blogger outfit denim shorts western belt

The island is home to a whopping 23 beaches and around half can be accessed by car or walking. With so much sandy utopia to explore, I suggest making a day of it! Rent a car, grab a map, wind the windows down and hop from beach to beach.

Horseshoe Bay, Nelly Bay and Arcadia are the most popular beaches and are the perfect spots to grab a bite to eat between swimming sessions. Alongside this, these are the only three beaches that are patrolled by lifeguards on the island.

If you're feeling adventurous, walk down the short road to Cockle Bay, a tiny seaside settlement lined with cute fishing boats. Arthur Bay and Radical Bay win the prizes for being the most picturesque, whilst West Point, which can only be accessed by 4WD offers sunsets like no where else.

Rainbow Lorikeet Feeding At The Koala Bungalows

Warning: if birds freak you out, do not do this!

Each night at the Koala Bungalows, there is a wild lorikeet feeding. The keeper will literally plop some food into your hand, then about 20 birds will land on you. I have to admit, this even made me a little squeamish, as they were actually on my head (eeek!) If you do go and feed these beautiful birds, wear a long-sleeved shirt, as these angry birds do peck. My arm looked like it had been mauled by the time the feeding was over! But these pretty birds were so beautiful that it was sort of worth it.

Yes: I did get a photo of this happening. No: I will not show you.

Feed Wild Rock Wallabies at Geoffrey Bay

wild rock wallabies magnetic island

Geoffrey Bay is home to a colony of oh-so-cute rock wallabies, which actually eat from the palm of your hand. And these gentle babies will not draw blood like the angry birds!

Nature lovers can also get their fill of wild birds around the island or feed one of the cute possums at Man Friday's Mexican restaurant.

The best thing about Magnetic Island is that it has an atmosphere that lets you relax, unplug and unwind. Whether you are an Aussie, or hope to visit here one day, this place needs to be on your wanderlust list!

5 Ways to Style A Silk Cami

how to style a silk cami denim skirt fringed bag

Prudes: overt your eyes, the slip trend is here to stay! And if there's one item you to have in your closet right now, it's the silk cami
.
The less-raunchy sister of the slip dress, the silk cami (or cami slip) is surprisingly versatile. From my casual denim look, to something a bit more fancy, here's five ways to style a silk cami...

1. The Everyday Glam

slip cami styled with denim skirt and mules

With the slip dress still hanging firmly at the front of my ridiculously-crammed wardrobe, I found myself craving something a bit more versatile and casual.

Cue the silk cami!

Still nailing the effortless, underwear-as-outwear mumbo jumbo to an absolute tee, the silk cami is made to be thrown on and dressed down.

As I wanted to show off my fake tan, I paired my silver slip cami with a light was denim skirt and topped it off with some nude mule sandals.

Completely ignoring the overused phrase 'less is more', I then layered up the jewellery and made a huuuge statement with this fabulous fringe bag from The Madame Bag*. With oodles of statement tassels and a circular rose gold handle, don't you just wanna touch it? **wink wink**

2. The Silk Cami: Cold-Weather Approved

how to style a silk cami for cold weather

Chances are that some of you reading this right now aren't dwelling in the Southern Hemisphere. Although Australia may be as sweaty as a sumo wrestlers behind (yep- I went there), you poor ladies and gents in the Northern Hemisphere may as well be walking through the Artic itself screaming 'Winter is Coming'.

Nerdy references aside, the last thing you want to wear is a silk cami right? Wrong. Simply layer a chunky cardigan over the top and Bob's your uncle! Pair with jeans for a more casual look and glam it up with a slither of red lipstick.

Those of you in the really cold parts of the world may even want to layer a turtleneck jumper underneath your silk cami. This one's all about embracing and clashing textures!

3. Funk It Up!

slip cami and skirt outfit idea

The harsh reality is that I will never be as cool as this chick above. But I, and you, can certainly try! The slight grid-like, almost tweed pattern of the skirt gives it inevitable 90s vibes. The silver silk cami itself has all those space-like qualities of trends circa 2000. Long story short, it gives me nostalgia.

Pair your silk cami with a split skirt and geometric silk earrings for something edgy and on-trend. A longer skirt may even make this outfit totally office appropriate!

4. Quirky Meets Classy

slip cami styled with trousers

I don't know who this fashionista is, but she may actually just be the Einstein of styling. Whoever decides to style a silk cami with tailored pants is really thinking outside of the box!

Not to mention the silky bomber, which gives it an extra edge of sports luxe. Wear your slip cami with tailored pants and change up your jacket for a look that will take you straight from office to bar (eughh such a cliche)

5. The Perfect Equation

Silk cami + tee + denim/leather skirt + Western belt  = hotter than Margot Robbie

Ha! And you thought that bloggers couldn't do maths!

I honestly can't count on my fingers the amount of times I've seen this golden combination on Instagram. It seems to be the go to way to style a silk cami and that's because it looks amazing!

Mix it up a little by wearing a printed tee underneath. Or switch out the denim or leather skirt for something a bit more quirky if you're feeling brave.

The Ultimate Fake Tan Guide

$
0
0
girl with tanned legs fake tan guide st tropezThis ultimate fake tan guide is dedicated to every Summer soul out there!

Finding the right fake tan is a bit like finding your soul mate. Some just don't fit, some leave you feeling pale, and there's that disturbing one that just made you feel itchy. But once you've found your perfect fit, it's all sunshine, smiles and feeling giddily beautiful.

So how do I find the fake tan that's right for me?

Whether you've never fake tanned, or you are just looking for your perfect product, read on for my ultimate fake tan guide...

I remember around a year and a half ago when I was working in retail. Stood sorting out product, I looked up to see a pretty, young girl teetering towards me with anticipation.

'Oh my gosh, what fake tan do you use?', she beamed.

I tried not to look too much like the Steven Hawking of the fake tan world as I excitedly rattled off my routine to her.

How funny that I used to struggle with orange palms, zebra-striped knees and crimson feet! However, once I discovered how to apply fake tan properly I never looked back.

Over the years, I've tested out enough fake tan to turn a whole hotel's worth of beds a biscuit-y tangello. Now, I'm ready to share my thoughts, recommendations and advice with you...

For Mid/Olive Skin

le tan self tanning foam ultra dark review fake tan guide

When I'm looking for a seriously dark tan, I opt for Le Tan Self Tanning Foam in Ultra Dark. The best thing about this product is that you only need to leave it on for three hours for a tan that looks like you've been on a two week cruise!

However, the deep and dense shade means that alabaster beauties should avoid it like the plague. But if you have tanned, medium or olive skin, this one is for you!

For Pale/Medium Skin

j bronze dark tanning cream review fake tan guide

Considering how darn tanned Jennifer Hawkins is, I was annoyed to find that her 'dark' tanning cream didn't turn me her glowing, caramel tone. As a matter of fact, this product is so light, that I recommend it for those with a light skin tone.

Even though the result was incredibly light for a product labelled 'dark', the green pigments in this fake tan give it a really natural finish without a hint of orange in sight!

For The Fake Tan Virgin

st tropez in shower gradual tan review fake tan guide

I sort of giggled when I first heard of this in shower tanning lotion. Surely, by applying it in the shower, the colour will have no chance to develop? As St Tropez is quite literally the Gucci of the fake tan world, I decided to give it a go.

Keep in mind that I like being very dark, but this product really let me down. Then I thought 'duh, Rach, it's gradual; it's not gonna give you that VS tan after one use'. After a few uses, it does build up a subtle, natural-looking tan.

I would recommend this to those who have never fake tanned before, as you can't mess up!

For The Vegan/ Sensitive Skin

luna bronze vegan tanning moisturiser review fake tan guide

Never ever ever has fake tan smelt as good as the Luna Bronze Tanning Moisturiser! Infused with mandarin, lemon myrtle and orange blossom, this dreamy concoction is miles away from the 'stale biscuit' honk of most products.

It's 100% natural and vegan, making it a fantastic choice for beauties with sensitive skin.

I tend to use Luna Bronze in between darker fake tan applications, as it makes a fantastic moisturiser and tan top-up in one.

For Faking Instead Of Baking

Picture this: it's Saturday morning and you're about to head to the beach. You whack on your bikini, only to find that you look like you belong in the cast of 'Twilight'.

Rather than baking it out in damaging UV rays all day, get that bronze look instantly and get protected from UV rays at the same time!

Model Co Bronze Dry Touch Sunscreen is a coloured sunscreen that is basically a wash-off sunscreen.

Warning: don't wear this with a white, crochet or fabric bikini. Sweat, salt and sea can cause this stuff to stain like a b-.

 For The Last Minute Bronze

model co wash off instant bronze tan review fake tan guide

A last minute night out with the girls? Last minute plans don't make for developing tans (You can call me Jay Z), so opt for an instant bronzing mousse.

Unlike other instant tanners I've tried in the past, One Night Tan will actually last through sweaty dance floors, rain and spilt drinks without turning your party dress a wonderful shade of mahogany.

For The Splurge-r

st tropez bronzing lotion review fake tan guide

Even the most clueless fake tan connoisseur will know that St Tropez is the real deal! However, in Australia, this fake tan hero comes with a hefty price tag.

The Look: Minimalist Boho

stripe boho playsuit minimalist outfit idea rebecca minkoff

By nature, minimalist fashion and boho are pretty much at the exact opposite ends of the style spectrum.

As thirty starts to loom in the corner like an eagle ready to strike at the mouse of my mid-twenties, I find myself becoming more and more infatuated with chic minimalist looks.

However, because of my beach-y, tropical lifestyle, I will always be a boho-loving girl too. Rather than flipping backwards and forwards between styles, I decided to combine them in something that I can only describe as 'minimalist boho'.

So Rachel, how exactly do I rock the minimalist and boho trends at the same time?

I'm glad you asked! Here's how...

Before I get into the nitty gritty of how to style minimalist boho, I have to tell you the story of this sublime Rebecca Minkoff Micro Bag:

Once upon a time... no Rachel, do it properly...  I often drag Jake into our designer shopping center just to oggle and eee at all the pretty things I can't afford. But this time **insert hallelujah chorus** there was a new area: Rebecca Minkoff.

As I picked up the bag in the photos above, I probably looked like one of those Looney Toones sketches were the heart leaps out of their chest like a kukoo clock. Seeing my face and discovering that the price tag wasn't even a tenth as hideous as the Gucci bags I normally drool over, Jake exclaimed that he was buying it for an anniversary present. (Side note: this was in November, our anniversary was the end of January).

It just so happens that the local radio station were there and everyone that made a purchase was entered into a prize draw. We thought we'd give it a go, so we went and had a chat to the presenters, and Jake explained that it was an anniversary present. They obviously didn't get the message that our anniversary was still two months away.

Whilst I was sniffing away at various perfumes, a promo member came and told us we had won and we had to go to the team who were doing a live broadcast downstairs. We thought they were gonna make us talk, but thankfully the microphones were broken. They must of predicted that I would sound like a pre-pubescent twelve year old boy.

So we just stood there awkwardly, whilst they did their spiel. It went along the lines of: "And the winner is Jake and Rachel. Funny story here, Jake actually FORGOT it was their anniversary, so he made it up to her by buying a designer handbag."

So yep: boyfie was shamed as the worlds worst man, when he had actually bought it for me two months prior to the big day! HAHAHA

Fin.

How To Style Minimalist Boho
Ah minimalist boho: the definition of a fashion oxymoron! Styling it up is all about taking shapes and details that tick the boho boxes, but keeping the color palette plain and free of fussy patterns.

When looking for pieces, go for off-shoulder pieces, flow-y shapes or typical bohemian cuts. Juxtapose the cut by keeping the colour scheme nude or monochrome, then add polished accessories such as my Gucci-style loafers.

Another trick is to take a boho-style piece and let it do the talking by itself. When styling boho, it's all too easy to layer on lashings of accessories. But sometimes, if you want a more polished look, it's important to step back and consider if the piece really needs it.

Food for thought? Here are some of my favorite minimalist boho picks under $150 (cos we ain't all made of money):

5 fashion trend hacks to instantly update your look for 2017

I still actually can't believe it's 2017. In between the constant writing of 2016 and freaking out about how fast the year is going, it can be hard to keep on top of your wardrobe. And if you thought that nailing 2017s hottest trend was going to wipe your bank clean, it's time to rejoice!

Styling the hottest trends will only take a few clever wardrobe additions. The rest? Try out these DIY fashion hacks and use pieces that are already hanging in your closet!

Here's 5 fashion trend hacks that will update your look for 2017...

Throw On Some Fishnets/ Fishnet Fabrics

You've undoubtedly seen fishnets plastered all over the New York and London Fashion Week street style pages. If not, I've got news for you: fishnets are one of the hottest fashion trends for 2017!

Wear them under torn boyfriend jeans, pop some fishnet socks under your kicks or simply embrace accessories in this punky fabric.

The Off Shoulder Shirt Hack

how to style a button up shirt as an off-shoulder top embroidered shirt

Yep: I literally unbuttoned my top and pulled it down off my shoulders. Boom! A whole new off-shoulder shirt!

You know that slouchy shirt that's been sat at the back of your wardrobe for a few seasons? Whack it out girl: it's about to make a come back for 2017!

Take your oversized shirt and button it down to about your bra (yes really!) Then, pull it down over your shoulders and boom: an off-shoulder shirt that is oh-so-2017. This little trick can make the hem of the shirt a bit uneven, so be sure to tuck it into a pair of trusty denims to stop you from looking like a hobo.

Here's some other ladies that probably did a better job than me... Not though I'm bitter or anything...

Show Us Ya Bra

Well, I can honestly say that this is the classiest advice I've ever given on The Daily Luxe! (Sorry Mum). The 2017 fashion trends give us the excuse to show our bras, without being branded a slut, ho, or  **insert hideous derogatory term meaning 'easy' here**.

Now I'm not just telling you to take your shirt off here, there is actual method to the madness! Try teaming a feminine, sheer blouse with a dark bra, or wear a button up just low enough for a cheeky peek.

If they are doing it in Paris and New York, we can totally do it right....

I have to admit, I'm quite lucky when it comes to sunglasses. As I have an oval face shape, I can wear most styles and shapes. So when Vision Direct* invited me to try a pair of their stunning designer sunglasses, I felt like a big, fat kid in a giant candy store.

I could honestly roll out of bed looking like a troll and these beauties will completely transform me into something chic. They make me feel exactly how Prada should make a woman feel: elegant, classy and sophisticated.

These Prada sunglasses are super versatile, due to their wayfarer design and cat-eye shape. This means they suit every face shape!

Is choosing sunglasses for your face shape a struggle? I've got you covered! Read on for my recommendations for each and every face type...

How To Determine Your Face Shape

different female face shapes oval face square face round face heart face
Knowing your face shape is an integral part of choosing sunglasses. Although you may be baffled by the ridiculously geometric descriptions of the 'face shapes' (let's be honest, only Lego men have an actual square head), determining your face shape is actually pretty easy.

Stand in front of a mirror with a piece of chalk or wipe-off, white board marker. Carefully draw around the edge of your face in the reflection.

Now, take a step back and have a good luck. Is the shape you have drawn closer to a square, circle, oval or heart?

Confused? Here's a little overview of the different face shapes...

A heart shaped face is determined by a wider forehead and narrower, pointed chin.
A square shaped face has forehead, cheekbones and jawline of the same width.
A round shaped face is characterized by having a similar face length and width.
An oval shaped face is symmetrical with prominent cheekbones and tapers gradually towards the chin.
A long face shape is an elongated oval face shape with a prominent chin.

If you are not sure of your face shape, Vision Direct has a handy 3D tool that allows you to try before you buy! Hows that for making choosing sunglasses easier?

P.S. Oval faces, you can rock anything!

Choosing Sunglasses For Square Face

http://www.visiondirect.com.au/designer-sunglasses/Tom-Ford/Tom-Ford-FT0344-ROSIE-01B-224626.html  http://www.visiondirect.com.au/designer-sunglasses/Tom-Ford/Tom-Ford-FT0344-ROSIE-01B-224626.html

Got a square face shape? Opt for round sunglasses to balance it out! Round or curved sunglasses will soften your face.

You can totally rock:
  • Cat eye sunglasses
  • Round sunglasses
  • Oval sunglasses
  • Butterfly shaped sunglasses
  • Oversized aviators

 Choosing Sunglasses For Round Face

http://www.visiondirect.com.au/designer-sunglasses/Prada/Prada-PR07PS-2AU6S1-185960.html  http://www.visiondirect.com.au/designer-sunglasses/Miu-Miu/Miu-Miu-MU10QS-RASOIR-UA81L0-341378.html

Choosing sunglasses for your face shape is all about going for the opposite! For example, a round face should opt for square or angular sunglasses to add that supermodel bone structure.

Go for:

  • Wayfarers
  • Square or rectangular
  • Wrap sunglasses

Choosing Sunglasses For Long Face

http://www.visiondirect.com.au/designer-sunglasses/Miu-Miu/Miu-Miu-MU02SS-VA43C2-346119.htmlhttp://www.visiondirect.com.au/designer-sunglasses/Versace/Versace-VE4308B-Crystal-Charm-511913-291658.html
Sunglasses are a great way to add width and balance out a long face. Statement cat eye sunglasses and fancy, side details are made for you.

Try:
  • Statement cat eye sunglasses
  • Wrap sunglasses
  • Oversized sunglasses

Choosing Sunglasses For Heart Shape

http://www.visiondirect.com.au/designer-sunglasses/Ray-Ban/Ray-Ban-RB3449-Highstreet-001/2Y-294215.htmlhttp://www.visiondirect.com.au/designer-sunglasses/Gucci/Gucci-GG-4283/S-AN-9O-311038.html
You've got cheekbones for days, so simply opt for a frame style that will minimize the width of your forehead. Anything with pointed ends is your best friend.

Rock these:

  • Cat eye
  • Round
  • Semi rimless
  • Light tinted frames
  • Aviator
  • Butterfly
Now that you know what sunglasses suit your face shape, just pick the ones you love! It's also important to take into consideration how versatile the style/colour is and whether they suit the pieces in your wardrobe. Sunnies are one heck of a beautiful style statement, so rock them with confidence!

 Happy sunglasses shopping!
